[Also in Groups VIII and XXVIII] An oil filter medium is formed by adhesively securing to one side of a sheet 10 of porous paper, flock fibres 11, e.g. rayon one or more millimetres long, so as to provide an erect pile of spaced fibres. The filter sheet may be corrugated and disposed with the fibres facing up-stream of the oil flow; dirt being collected at points 27.
