Abstract

820,786. Filter paper containing nylon &c. PORTALS Ltd., and WILLIAMS, H. M. G. Dec. 4, 1957 [Dec. 24, 1956], No. 39244/56. Class 96. Filter paper of high flexibility and high bursting strength is made from synthetic fibres, e.g. cut nylon, optionally with over 10% of rag or cellulosic fibres, a methyl methoxy derivative of nylon being added to the paper or to the paper pulp, e.g. at the beater, and the binder being made insoluble in alcohol by heating the paper, e.g. to 120‹ to 160‹ C. for half an hour. Specification 820,785 is referred to.
