Abstract

Tobacco smoke filter material comprises a sheet prepared by a paper-making process from a mixture of cellulose acetate fibers and wood pulp. Cellulose acetate fibers may be blended together with wood pulp in aqueous suspension, passing the suspension over a mesh screen to produce a layer of compacted fibers, rolling and drying the layer.
