Abstract
751,223. Respiratory dust masks. DRAGER, O. H. Jan. 4, 1954 [Jan. 5, 1953], No. 164/54. Class 81(2). A dust filter respirator comprises a fabric tube 5, preferably enclosing a spiral wire former 4, extending round the back of the head and forming a coarse dust filter, which is connected at its ends to a nose piece 1. A fine dust filter is interposed between the tube 5 and the mask and may be in the form of a fabric filter 6 extending across an air impervious tube 3b. Inhalation and exhalation valves, of the flap type, are provided for the mask and the device is suspended by head straps or by a cap or helmet. It is also proposed to mount the two filter units at the back of the neck and to join them to the mask by short tubes.
