Class 110(3) [Also in Group XXVII] A supercharger 2 for an engine 1 is powered only by an exhaust-driven turbine 3 and a turbine 5 driven by steam raised in a boiler 4 by the exhaust gases from the turbine 3. At starting, steam raised in an auxiliary boiler 6 and normally used for other purposes is fed to the turbine 5. A pump 8 feeds water, derived in a condenser 7 from the spent steam of the turbine 5, to the boilers 4, 6.
