Abstract

749,972. Strap fastenings. SOC. ANON. OUVRARD & VILLARS. July 21, 1954 [Aug. 24, 1953; March 1, 1954], No. 21260/54. Class 44. [Also in Group XXXVI] A group of cables 6, 7, 8, 9, is carried by a support 1 of U-shaped cross-section secured to a supporting surface and provided with crosspieces adjustably mounted between its sides and a flexible strap 10 which is passed successively round each cable and each cross-piece alternately and tensioned to hold the cables firmly against the support 1. The support may have inwardly or outwardly directed flanges against which the cables rest and may have holes 5 in each of its sides for the reception of pins 11 which constitute the crosspieces. One end 10a of the strap is secured to the end pin 11 and the other to a tightening device carried by the support 1. In an alternative embodiment (Fig. 7) the cross-pieces may comprise T-shaped members 15 engaging beneath flanges 1a, 1b of the support 1. Both ends of the strap are brought to the same end of the support and secured to a tightening device thereon.
