Abstract

748,973. Rotary brushes. LOVELL, S. Aug. 18, 1954 [Sept. 24, 1953], No. 26380/53. Class 19 A rotary brush comprises a frustoconical core member 5 and an outer member 1, 2 of like shape having apertures to receive bristles and split into at least two parts so that they may be removed radially from the core, the arrangement being such that the bristles are clamped by and between the members. The smaller end of the outer member has lugs 12 which are received in slots in the inner member and the larger end is secured by screws to lugs on a flange 9. The bristles may be of wire or nylon and may be arranged in oppositely directed tangentially inclined tufts.
