Abstract

1,055,052. Rotary brushes. SERVICE (ENGINEERS) Ltd. Oct. 4, 1963 [Oct. 6, 1962; Sept. 13, 1963], Nos. 37904/62 and 36086/63. Heading A4K. [Also in Division B8] In a rotary brush for a cup brushing machine the bristle tufts are inclined in the direction of the axis of the brush and may also have a trailing inclination in the direction of the drag exerted on the ends of the bristles by contact with the work. The tufts are mounted in holes 52 arranged spirally on a conical wooden stock 40. The bristles may be of white nylon of a specified thickness.
