747,605. Racks for fabric rolls. GASCOIGNE CO., Ltd., G. H., and DEACON, J. P. July 31, 1953 [June 14, 1952 Class 42 (2). [Also in Group XVI] A rack for the storage of web rolls comprises horizontally inclined tubes or angle-irons 3 serving as runways for axles passed through the centres of the rolls, the tubes 3 being spaced apart a distance greater than the length of the rolls. As shown, the tubes 3 are supported by uprights 1 and cross-members 2. Inclined guides 6 are provided to direct rolls, lifted by a hoist, not shown, mounted on beam 5, inwardly of the rack. At the opposite end, the tubes 3 are upturned to act as stops; while a beam 7 is provided for an unloading hoist, not shown.
