Abstract

932,087. Moulding articles from fibrous slurries. HAWLEY PRODUCTS Ltd. Aug. 17, 1960 [Aug. 25, 1959], No. 28987/59. Class 87(2). In the moulding of fibrous articles by immersing a perforated mould 2 into a bath 1 containing the slurry and applying suction to the mould, the mould supporting members 3, 13, and 15 are made hollow to allow the suction to be applied through them. The members 15 are raised and lowered along guides 7 by pneumatic rams 22. Counterweights 8 take the weight of the mould. Members 19 are of telescopic form to allow the suction to be applied continuously.
