Abstract

759,864. Storage warehouses. TAGGART, T. Feb. 18, 1955 [Feb. 23, 1954], No. 5251/54. Class 20(1). A warehouse is provided with a series of pairs of parallel rails 11 with closely packed storage trolleys 14 movable under one or more overhead runways 23 carrying lifting and traversing tackle 24 under which any trolley can be wheeled to receive or lift off stowage articles. The rails 11 may extend on each side of a passageway 10 in the warehouse. Each trolley comprises vertical corner metal tubes 15 on corner supports 18 with wheels 19 and connected by horizontal tubes 16 carrying adjustable horizontal tubes with article receiving supports 20 and 22 respectively, Fig. 3 (not shown). The brackets for the tubes carry 'pinching screws.
