Abstract

1386587 Mechanical storage INTEGRATED HANDLING Ltd 30 March 1972 [6 Jan 1971] 567/71 Heading A4T A store having storage racks 1, 2 on either side of a gangway 3 is provided with rails 8 secured to the racks on each side of the gangway for engagement by rollers 9 mounted of vertical axes in fittings 10 so that the lift truck is kept centred in the gangway. Preferably spaced pairs of rollers are provided on each side of the truck. Different constructions of rails are shown fixed at or just above ground level and in one case the top of the rail is level with the bottom of the racks thus forming an extension to the goods support area thereof.
