Abstract

901,623. Rack stands. HOMFRAY & CO. Ltd. Dec. 1, 1960, No. 41331/60. Class 52 (3). Rolled carpets M are stored on cradles H resiliently slung in a stand framework and transversely flexible so as to provide a uniform supporting pressure over the underside of the roll. The cradles, of thin vulcanized fibre sheeting, are supported at intervals by slings E of elastic webbing. Undue loading of any one of strips E brings the roll M into contact with load-bearing bar B and thus prevents over-straining of the strips.
