Abstract
746,931. Waste-heat steam boilers. VORKAUF, H. July 8, 1954 [July 8, 1953], No. 19994/54. Class 123(2). In a waste-heat steam boiler, Fig. 1, comprising spaced evaporator tube panels 1, 2, 3 and 5, 6, 7 which are formed of closelypitched tubes and are disposed on two sides of a baffle wall 4, the panels are graduated vertically upwards towards said baffle wall. The baffle wall itself may be an evaporator tube panel constructed from closelypitched tubes 8, Fig. 2, which are sealed with intermediate iron rods or asbestos rope or strips 9 retained in position by flat plates 10 welded to the tubes, and preferably it is so constructed that it can be moved vertically in an upward or downward direction to serve as a regulating bypass damper.
