Abstract

743,549. Stoves. SMITH & WELLSTOOD, Ltd. May 24, 1954 [June 1, 1953], No. 15142/53. Class 126. The body of the stove shown comprises two pairs of mating members 2 each pair forming, when mated, by thrusting downwardly clamps 14 to embrace in wedge action projections 13 attached to opposed parts of the members, a hollow tube form. The upper and lower ends of each member 2 are formed with shoulders 3 such that on assembly of the stove a top plate 10 may be placed on the upper tube form, the lower tube form may be placed on a base member 7 and a ring- shaped member 5 for controlling secondary air to the fire on the stove grate may be placed between the tube forms. The base member 7 supports the stove grate 1 and provides an opening, normally closed by a door 9, to the ash space whilst the top plate 10 is provided with a flue 11 and a removable plate 12 for fuel input purposes.
