Abstract

742,889. Loud-speakers. ROLA CELESTION, Ltd. April 22, 1954 [April 22, 1953], No. 11132/53. Class 40 (4). [Also in Group XXXVIII] A re-entrant horn for use with a loud-speaker or other transducer is made up of a number of tubular pieces of metal, one of which 23 comprises a tube of progressively increasing diameter folded back on itself in a coaxial manner. The tube 23 is connected by a rubber sleeve 25 to a pressure-type transducer 13, and forms an exponential horn with members 34 and 11, the horn being held together by selftapping screws and a tension bolt 20. Terminals 38 are protected by an end cover 41 which may also enclose a matching transformer.
