742,106. Valves actuated by auxiliary valves; hydraulic apparatus, BRITISH MESSIER, Ltd. April 29, 1953 [May 2, 1952], No. 11157/52. Classes 69 (2) and 135. In a fluid control system, gas from a highpressure supply 11 passes to a hydraulic accumulator chamber 13 from which liquid passes to a control valve 17, movement of the piston 18 being controlled by gas pressure which acts on one or both ends and which is controlled by an electromagnetically controlled obturator 33 acting on two nozzles 32, 31 or on one nozzle as in Fig. 2 (not shown). Gas from the supply 11 flows via one or two restricted orifices, 30 and 130, to the nozzles or nozzle, and to connections 36 and 37 or a connection leading to pistons at one or both ends of the control valve. Reducing valves 12 and 27 may be incorporated. The system is applicable to a guided missile of which a fin actuator 21 is shown.
