Abstract

741,913. Frequency changing circuits. TELE FUNKEN GES., [formerly TELEFUNKEN GES. FUR DRAHTLOSE TELEGRAPHIE]. Nov. 3, 1953 [Nov. 3, 1952], No. 30314/53. Class 40 (6). A frequency changer comprises a triode valve arranged to oscillate and to additively mix the oscillations produced with an incoming signal, the anode of the triode being connected to the cathode of a grounded grid stage having an output circuit from which oscillations are derived having a frequency different from that of the oscillator and the signal. Valve 4 has a feed-back circuit 21, 22, 23, to cause it to oscillate and an input signal is applied to the zero potential point of the circuit. The anode of the valve is connected to a further triode valve 8 having an intermediate frequency output circuit connected to its anode. The oscillator tuned circuit may alternatively be connected between grid and cathode and coupled by a coil to the anode (Fig. 1, not shown) and the two valves may be connected in parallel with respect to the D.C. supply instead of in series (Fig.s 2 and 4, not shown).
