740,202. Double lift Jacquards. SOC. DES MECANIQUES VERDOL. Jan. 29, 1954 [Jan. 30, 1953], No. 2761/54. Class 142 (2). In a jacquard havin oppositely-moving griffe 5, 6, Fig. 7, operating double-legged hooks a, b, those hooks, e.g. 1a, that have been pushed clear of a rising griffe bar (5a) come into the path of a bar (11a) on the descending griffe and are thereby positively lowered. In another form, Fig. 13, the hooks have inturned ends 13 which engage channels 15 in the griffe bars.
