An electrically conducting polyethylene composition comprises the following ingredients: ..Per cent ..by weight .Polyethylene.10-40 .Polyisobutylene.20-60 .Acetylene black.25-50 .Stearic acid.0-5 .Microcrystalline wax.0-5 In a preferred embodiment the proportions are: ..Per cent .Polyethylene.19 .Polyisobutylene.38 .Acetylene black.36 .Stearic acid.4 .Microcrystalline wax.3 The polyisobutylene preferably has a molecular weight of about 100,000, and the acetylene black may be replaced by other finely divided carbon blacks.
