Abstract
739,762. Transformers. FORGES ET ATELIERS DE CONSTRUCTIONS ELECTRIQUES DE JEUMONT. March 30, 1954 [April 3, 1953; Feb. 4, 1954], No. 9243/54. Class 38 (2). The high tension winding of a transformer comprises a number of radially spaced concentric layers H<SP>1</SP>, H<SP>2</SP>, H<SP>3</SP> which are connected together by leads 11, 12 at alternate ends, the winding layers being insulated from one another by insulating cylinders 15, 16, 17, each of which has a flange C<SP>3</SP>, C<SP>1</SP>, C<SP>2</SP> respectively projecting radially outwards at one end only thereof, the projections being arranged at alternate ends of the winding and projecting outwards beyond the winding. The hightension winding H<SP>1</SP>-H<SP>3</SP> and the low-tension winding B surround a magnetic core 1 and are clamped between end plates D<SP>1</SP>, D<SP>2</SP>, insulating spacers 2-10 being utilized as required, some of which spacers are provided with oilways M whereby cooling oil may circulate around the windings. The insulating cylinders may be split longitudinally and overlapped as shown in Fig. 4.
