Abstract

738,772. Pourers. THERMOS (1925), Ltd. Dec. 3, 1953 [Dec. 16, 1952], No. 31848/52. Class 125 (1). [Also in Group XIII] A pourer for a vacuum flask comprises an annular body of resilient plastic having a peripheral edge 2 formed with a pouring lip, an exterior flange 3 at the other end of the ring, and preferably an interior flange 4 the body being adapted to be fitted around the neck of the glass refill 7 and held in position by engagement between the flange 3 and a peripheral flange 10 on the jacket shoulder which deforms the body into sealing engagement with the refill, a further seal being formed at the engagement of the flange 4 with the mouth of the refill. The pourer may be provided with a second internal rim 12 to embrace the neck of the glass refill. The annular ring may be of frusto-conical shape. The pourer may be produced as a one-piece moulding in polyethylene.
