737,530. Lattice masts. MANNESMANN AKT.-GES. Aug. 17, 1953 [Sept. 19, 1952], No. 22656/53. Class 20 (2). [Also in Group XXII] A lattice structure, particularly a mast, has tubular struts 5 having conical ends 6 on each of which are separately welded two arms 7 of a fork adapted to straddle and be connected to a lug 3 welded to a corner post 1. The fork arms 7 are adapted to be moved on the conical surface before welding to a position to engage the lug 3 and welded in this position. The fork arms 7 are welded to the strut 5 by a rib 8.
