901,841. Staging for workmen. HEAD, WRIGHTSON & CO. Ltd. Jan. 27, 1960 [Jan. 30, 1959], No. 3511/59. Class 20 (2). A gantry for supporting a working platform comprises a beam built up of similar units 13 supported at each end on a tower 11 of triangular form, the platform being supported on a frame 14 running on the beam. The tower comprises a triangle of two tubes 19 and a bar 16 and bracing tubes 20, 29 and struts 15. The units 13 comprise a rectangular section tubular boom 21 and a square section tubular boom 22 connected by cylindrical struts 25 and having connecting plates 23 at both ends. The frame 14 comprises two open triangles connected by bolts 32 carrying the rollers on which it runs. The gantry runs on castors 12.
