Abstract

907,615. Beams for floor shuttering. KWIKFORM Ltd. Oct. 28, 1958 [Nov. 16, 1957; Dec. 19, 1957; Feb. 5, 1958], Nos. 35761/57, 39567/57 and 3717/58. Class 20 (2). A beam for supporting floor shuttering comprises an inner beam, Fig. 4, on either end of which telescope outer beams, Fig. 3, the upper faces of both beams being slightly convex. The inner beam comprises an upper boom 12 connected by a zig-zag bar 15 to a lower, tubular boom 14 and the beams are secured together by a concave pressure plate 29 mounted on a vertical screw 30 which is threaded in a nut on a tension bar 24. The boom 12 comprises a pair of angle sections, one of which has slots 13 for welding material. The outer beam comprises a U-section 22 which is braced against the bar 24 by flanges 25, 27. The arms of the section 22 are inturned and engage in slots 19 in end plates 18 on the inner beam. Brackets 28 are fitted to both beams. Specification 907,616 is referred to.
