[Also in Group XXXII] A coupling for rods or tubes comprises a bearer member 1x apertured to receive crosstubes 2x which are split at 5x so they may be clamped and welded to the rods or tubes which pass partly or completely through the crosstubes. The bearer member may be secured to a base-plate 6x provided with bolt holes 7x. Specifications 607,281 and 682,507, [Group XXXII], are referred to.
