585,296. Multiple clamps. LINDSAY, Ltd., H., and LINDSAY, H. Feb. 16, 1945, No. 3894. [Class 44] A series of clamps 1 securing together the flanges &c. 2 of tubes or rods are connected together by links 7 pivoted on the bolts 3 of the clamps and pivotally connected together at 8. This arrangement allows the same number of clamps to be used on flanges of different diameters. A method of using the links 7 in lazy tong formation is also described. By the addition of springs the action of the links 7 may be reinforced. Specification 512,406 is referred to.
