Abstract
733,786. Centrifugal separators. WAAGNERBIRO AKT.-GES. April 16, 1952 [April 28, 1951], No. 9515/52. Class 23. In a dust separator the gas to be cleaned flows through a tangential inlet 4 to a skimming slot 1 disposed at the end of the inlet and through which the bulk of the dust is discharged before the gas enters the cylindrical part 3 of the separator. The dust separated in the cylindrical part of the separator is discharged through openings 5 at either end of the cylindrical part. The cleaned gas is discharged through a tube 6 disposed in an end wall of the cylinder, or through tubes disposed in each end wall. The inlet 4 may contain guide vanes 15 and extend over part or. whole length of the cylindrical part. The separator is suitable for use in multi-cell separators.
