Abstract

646,087. Centrifugal-separators. CORINTH, Ltd. (Ter Linden, A. J.). March 13, 1948, No. 7696. [Class 23] In a cyclone separator a fixed baffle is provided in the dust outlet, the baffle comprising a hollow body 12 which has an open end pointing towards the interior of the cyclone and is closed at the other end. A similar hollow body 14 having guide vanes 25 may be located in the gas outlet tube. The axis of the cyclone may be bent or horizontal. Cyclones, ac- .cording to the invention, may form the cells of a multi-cell separator having the inlets of the cells supplied from a single chamber in which a preliminary dust separation takes place.
