Abstract

769,906. Centrifugal separators. SCHMID, O. June 30, 1955, No. 18953/55 Class 23 Cyclone apparatus for separating impurities from fluids comprises a cylindrical body 1 into which is inserted a part 4 having a conical interior. As shown the part is retained by a ring 5 and set screws 6 but in modifications the part may befixed by a bayonet joint, or its penetration into the body may be limited by a shoulder. The part may be made of glass, porcelain, cast-iron, or sintered material. The apparatus may have an axial inlet. instead of the tangential inlet shown.
