732,909. Picking motions; checking shuttles and pickers. WOLLDECKENFABRIK ZOEPPRITZ AKT.-GES. Dec. 28, 1951 [Dec. 28, 1950], No. 30365/51. Class 142(2). A shuttle 20 is picked by a jet of liquid impinging on a piston 16 carrying a picker 18, under the control of a valve 7 which closes a nozzle 3 when moved to the right by a lever 9 and is pushed to the left by the fluid pressure to open the nozzle when the pressure of the lever 9 is removed. The piston is checked at the end of a picking stroke by air trapped by it in a cylinder 21 provided with a non-return valve 32 ; the shuttle is checked on arrival by the picker 18 entering a cylinder 22 provided with a non-return valve 15.
