Abstract
731,463. Scaffold clamps. FERRI, A. Jan. 12, 1953 [Jan. 19, 1952], No. 931/53. Class 20 (2). In a scaffold clamp comprising two parts A, B slidably engageable with one another by parallel inclined guides 3, 5 which cause the parts to approach a scaffold tube C when the part B is driven by a projection 6 in a direction parallel with the axis of the tube, each part A, B engages the tube over an arc of substantially less than 180 degrees and the inside of the arcuately bent parts 3 of the part A and the bent-up edges 5 of the part B form the guide surfaces. The clamp shown has also two annular clamp parts A<SP>1</SP>, B<SP>1</SP> welded at 7 so that two scaffold tubes can be clamped at right angles. Fig. 6 (not shown), shows a clamp having three coupling units at right angles to one another.
