848,468. Clamps. STOKVIS' KONINKLIJKE FABRIEK VAN METAALWERKEN N. V., W. J. Aug. 8, 1957, No. 25070/57. Class 44. A clamp for connecting together two rods or tubes 5, 6, which cross over each other, comprises a tubular sleeve 4 for receiving one of the rods or tubes and a pair of resilient arms 1a, 1b extending from the sleeve for embracing at least half the periphery of the other rod or tube, at least one of the arms having a projection 2 or 3 extending towards the other arm, the largest dimension of the projection extending in a direction transverse to that in which the arms project from the sleeve and the projection being arranged to engage in a slot 7 or 8 in the embraced rod or tube. As shown, the clamp, which is made of elastic material such as polyamide, is used to secure parts of a television aerial to a mast. The parts may be secured by a double clamp constituting a distance piece between the parts.
