730,900. Animal drinking-troughs. GLOBE TANK & FOUNDRY (WOLVERHAMPTON), Ltd. Nov. 24, 1953 [Nov. 24, 1952], No. 29589/52. Class 5 (2). In a drinking trough 11 for animals of the kind in which the water supply is controlled by a ball-cock or other float controlled valve which is protected by a service box 14, the service box and the trough are made as separate units and the trough is provided with tubular or inwardly curved edges 13 and the corresponding end walls of the service box are formed with depending inwardly curved portions 18 which seat upon the tubular or curved edges of the trough. As shown, the service box is provided with inwardly curved portions 20 so that it may be mounted at one end of the trough. Spring clips 19 are provided to grip the outside of the tubular edges of the trough. Screw clips or nut and bolt fastenings may be used in place of the clips 19.
