Abstract

The drinking trough is used by rabbits and poultry and has a float operated valve providing a constant water level which can be regulated. It comprises a reservoir for the water supply, divided by a partition from the trough, this being accessible to the livestock, the water passing through an opening. The water supply is fed into the reservoir by a tube passing through the cover. The float valve operates on a seal on the end of the tube, this passing through a split sleeve and being adjustable for position, a nut tightening on a taper to hold the tube.
