[Also in Group II] A gas-producer has a gas off-take structure b extending across the producer above the gasifying zone of the producer and which is divided into two parts by a division wall e so that the gases produced are divided into two streams, each stream entering in a tangential direction one of a pair of cyclone dust separators g formed in the setting of the producer, whereby entrained solid material is separated from the gases , which leave the separators by central pipes h, the two streams being reunited before leaving the producer. The separators have water seals at their bases and the vertical walls of the gas off-take have openings k through which the fuel charged into the producer can pass into the off-take as shown.
