Abstract

727,027. Winding yarn. HOLT, Ltd., T., and LEE, G. Dec. 23, 1952 (Dec. 24, 1951], No.30103/51. Class 120 (2). Means for preventing pattern winding in a textile cone winding machine includes a shaft 13, a traverse cam and driving roll 11 mounted thereon, a chain wheel 16 having a long boss 17 formed in its periphery with a helical cam groove 18, a bush 19 secured to the traverse cam 11 and having attached to it a chain wheel 21, the bush 19 being slidably mounted on the boss 17 and furnished with a peg 22 engaging the cam groove 18, whereby driving motion imparted to the chain wheels 16, 21 which differ by one tooth, reciprocates slowly the traverse cam 11 to give a differential drive to the yarn package 10. When a plurality of cams 11a, Fig. 2, not shown, are carried by a single shaft 13a, the shaft may be connected to a bushing 19a and all the cams 11a reciprocated in unison thereby.
