Abstract

726,907. Time switches; switch contacts. BRITISH THOMSON-HOUSTON CO., Ltd: Feb. 19, 1952 [Feb. 23, 1951], No. 4384/52. Class 38 (5) The switch comprises a rotatable dial 1 having adjustable members 3 with projections 3a cooperating with a part 9k formed on a pivoted insulating arm 9 which carries a resiliently mounted bridging contact 10 co-operating with fixed contacts 7a, 7b. The latter are mounted on a block 4 to which the arm 9 is pivoted at 6. The ends of the contact 10 are bifurcated and embrace webs 9e, 9f in the arm 9, outward movement of the contact under the action of a spring 11 being limited by stops 9c, 9d. The free end of the arm 9 engages a slot in a member 8 so as to hold the part 9k normally in the path of projections 3a. Several arms 9 may be arranged in a line one behind the other.
