725,693. Cathode-ray tubes. COMPAGNIE POUR LA FABRICATION DES COMPTEURS ET MATERIEL D'USINES A GAZ. Feb. 19, 1953 [March 10, 1952], No. 4695/53. Class 39 (1). An electron gun is centred within the glass neck 1 of a cathode-ray tube by a circular metal element 6 fixed to a cylindrical electrode of the gun e.g. the anode 4, and having a flared part of maximum diameter slightly greater than that of the interior of the glass neck, so as to obtain a tight fit. The element 6 is provided with a number of holes for enabling the passage of gas when the tube is evacuated. Two spaced apart elements such as 6 may be used.
