724,649. Conductors. CANADIAN GENERAL ELECTRIC CO., Ltd. Dec. 14, 1953 [Dec. 17, 1952], No. 34769/53. Class 36. A wire insulated with a material containing a substantial proportion of butyl rubber is made by extruding the plastic butyl rubber composition about the wire, wrapping a tape therearound and vulcanizing the coated wire, the tape being sufficiently porous to allow the escape of gases evolved during vulcanization. An uncoated cotton tape may be used and may or may not be removed after vulcanization.
