Abstract
An envelope of glass or like material such as quartz is coated with polyvinyl chloride. The envelope is preferably warmed to 110 DEG C and dipped into polyvinyl chloride paste and after removal therefrom is baked at about 150 DEG C. More than one dipping may be given, the envelope being warmed after each to 110 DEG C, and after the final dipping the layers are baked at 150 DEG C.
