[Also in Groups X and XXX] In the box pallet of Figs. 7 and 8 pillars 60 formed by welding together the bevels 14, 15 of two tubes of the section shown in Fig. 1 rest on pressed metal feet 61 and are joined by tubes 62 of the same section by slats 66 which interlock with and are welded to the tube 62 and by further slats 67. The slats 60 and 67 retain side boards 65 which are held from falling inwardly by channel members 68 welded to the slats 67 and to the pillars 60 and by bottom boards 64 which are supported on channels 63 welded to the tube 62 and to the pillars 60. Short lengths 70 of channel section close the upper ends of the pillars. The channel sections are shaped to fit over the wall 13 of the tube of Fig. 1 and the sum of the depth of the channel section and the slats is equal to 'the distance between the faces 11 of the tube.
