722,221. Thermionic valves. GOLDSTAUB, H. H. Aug. 6, 1953 [Aug. 6, 1952], No. 19858/52. Class 39 (1) A retainer for a thermionic valve comprises two similar coil springs 1 and 2 adapted at one end 3 to be anchored and at the other end having a transverse arm 8 consisting of an uncoiled portion of the spring, the two arms being secured together by means of a ring 9 intended to bear upon the valve. The anchorage 3 is formed by bending the end of the wire into a circular shape 3A. The arms 8 are wrapped round eyelet 10, washer 11 is placed on top and the skirt of the eyelet expanded to hold the arms in position. Eyelet 9 may be metal or insulator.
