878,019. Valves. WESTINGHOUSE BRAKE & SIGNAL CO. Ltd. Feb. 12, 1960 [Feb. 12, 1959], No. 4917/59. Class 135. [Also in Group XXII] A spring-loaded safety valve comprises an hexagonal body, a ball 5, a spring 4 and a soft metal cap 1 which is crimped into a groove 2 in the collar. In the method of assembling the valve it is connected to a source of fluid pressure, the position of the cap is adjusted until the valve lifts at the desired pressure and the cap is then crimped in this position.
