Abstract

The valve has a double-closure device, in which a valve cup (26) and a poppet valve (42) in the valve cup are spring urged into sealing relationship with seats (12 and 28) in the valve body (2). The valve may be closed by the melting of a fusible link (58) or, in a modified form, the valve is pilot- operated, and the cup (26') and poppet valve (42') are held open under the action of a pilot pressure on a diaphragm (72) within the valve body (2'). <IMAGE>
