Abstract

721,394. Making silage. TAYLOR, J. H. May 21, 1953. [June 27, 1952] No. 16201/52. Class 5 (1). A collapsible mould for building up stacks of silage or compost comprises two parallel walls made up of flanged rectangular panels 1 each supported by struts 7 and ties 8, ties 11 detachably connecting the lower edges of the walls. The panels are joined by pins engaging in keyhole or butterfly slots in the side flanges. Feet 9 are fixed on the struts 7 and the ties 8 are provided with slots 8a which engage a pin on the struts 7. The ties 11 hook over the lower flanges of one wall of panels and engage in holes 2 in the opposite wall of panels and are held in position by pins so that the ties may be withdrawn after the stack is completed.
