Abstract

720,437. Sifting-apparatus. MIAG MUEHLENBAU UND INDUSTRIE GES. Sept. 5, 1952 [Sept. 8, 1951], No. 22327/52. Class 117. In a vibratory sieve of the type in which cleaning is effected by freely-movable balls, the sieve frame is provided with two sifting elements 5 of differing mesh between which the balls 8 are located. Transverse battens 6 provide compartments for the balls but allow sufficient clearance from the lower sifting element for the material to pass out via the shoot 12. In an alternative arrangement battens may be mounted on both sifting elements facing each other, with a clearance between them smaller than the diameter of the balls.
