The grain &c. is deposited on a gently falling surface 1 which continues as a series of stepped horizontal or inclined faces 2 and vertical faces 3. Each vertical face is provided with slots 4, through which the air stream is directed, the slots each being overhung by an extension 6 of the adjacent face 2.
