Class 51 (1) A tube wall for a furnace comprises a wall 10 held to tubes 2 by studs 3 screwed into nuts 1 welded to the tubes and longitudinally slit at 4 so that in the event of abnormal pressure within the chamber causing the wall to be forced outwards the studs 3 will separate from the nuts 4 before the force transmitted from the wall, through the studs and sleeves, to the tubes becomes sufficiently great to damage the tubes.
