718,182. Piston extrusion apparatus. HOBSON, C. W. April 19, 1951, No. 9198/51. Class 102 (2). [Also in Group XVII] A casing 10 encloses a collapsible tube 10 that has open ends, one end having a beaded edge 17 that is gripped in the groove 24 by the disc 25 and the other end having a beading 18 that is gripped in the groove 23 by a nut 22 threaded on the boss 21 of the disc 12. The contents of the tube 16 are expelled through opening 26 by pressing the disc 12 which is prevented from turning by the engagement of projections and grooves in the disc 12 and casing 10; the casing 10 may be of non-circular cross-section. The disc 12 has a filling opening 19 which is threaded to receive the end of an ordinary collapsible tube and may be closed by a plug 20. The disc 25 may be movable and the disc 12 stationary and the openings 19, 26 may be in either disc. The end of the tube 16 may be secured to the circumference of the disc 12. The tube 16 may be corrugated and either or both discs may have projections to ensure complete emptying.
